Community mattersThe history and story of Oak Island belongs to all Nova Scotians and as a way to say thank you to the never ending hospitality Rick Lagina raises funds to support local children and their families. During the treasure hunt process, Rick hand picks, cuts and polishes rocks turning each one into a one of a kind treasure stone. With 100% of the proceeds going to the charity (minus shipping handling and payment processing fees).

$65 - Ther-a-play Day (3 Hours) for Autistic child and their family (2-6 members) $80 - One lesson for group of 4 students from the South Shore Regional Centre for Education Middle Level Connect Centre. $100 - Assessment fee required for each child to ensure therapy meets their special need. |
Hinchinbrook Farm Society is a registered Canadian Charity whose prime objective is to provide a therapeutic horse back riding program to support the physical mental and emotional well-being of persons with disabilities. The main clients are families with autism.
Hinchinbrook is registered with the Nova Scotia Equestrian Federation and provides therapeutic riding, using very close contact between client and horse as a partner to bring the autistic child into the exterior world. The Program Director at Hinchinbrook Farm is a certified equine therapist and regional coordinator for the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) International. |
